| This beautifully appointed Manor House was constructed in 1794 as a coaching inn on the main route from Nottingham to Ashby. It was originally named The Rawdon Hotel and was conceived and built by the Marquis of Hastings. Now a privately owned hotel, providing a high level of service and intimacy, which is difficult to find in larger hotels, it provides contemporary styling in truly classic surroundings.
Set in a converted Victorian school, Chatterley House features a celebrated restaurant and rooms with private facilities. Located in Cossall, the birthplace of D.H. Lawrence, there is free parking.
The cosy rooms at The Chatterley are traditionally decorated, and all have a private or en suite bathroom and a TV. Free Wi-Fi is also accessible throughout.
The popular restaurant serves an innovative international menu, with an impressive world wine list. Full English breakfasts are available daily, and the bar features a small terrace with outdoor seating.
Just a mile from Ilkeston centre, The Chatterley House Hotel is a 10-minute drive from The American Adventure Theme Park. Nottingham’s lively centre is just 20 minutes away, and Shipley Country Park can be reached in 5 minutes.
